Great food and drinks. Splendid service. The beds are pretty hard though. Giant bathrooms.
Excellent food and service. Perfect lobster dinner. Had dinner outdoors, what a great setting. Jess is a wonderful server. Have to try the blueberry pie for dessert.
Ate at the restaurant and was very impressed. The atmosphere is cozy and dark. The mussels were very good and a large serving. The bread with any dish is amazing. I also enjoyed the lazy lobster and some of my wife's seared scallops. Very nice dining experience.
The Thistle Inn perfectly captures the charm, quaintness, and friendly culture that is Maine. Dick and Anya were so helpful in checking us in and getting us set with wifi, phone numbers and whatever we needed. The room was clean and the private entrance was very convenient. Sad to have missed a complementary hot breakfast both days in the adorable dining room or on the patio but the bed was really one of the most comfy I've stayed in so opted to sleep in. Overall, this is a spot that definitely worth checking into, just a block away from the main road and a few minutes walk to the waterfront and shops.
